Admission Requirements

All candidates applying must have a minimum of 140 in their UTME and minimum of 5 Credits O’Level result in relevant subjects including English and Mathematics (except Political Science department where D7 is accepted in Mathematics) and not more than two sittings in WAEC.

How to Apply

Step 1 – Change of Institution

You are expected to choose Coal City University as your first choice of university while siting for the Joint Admission and Matriculation Boards’ (JAMB) Universal Tertiary Matriculation Examination (UTME). However, if you did not choose CCU at the initial stage, you have the opportunity to do a change of institution. This process can only be done at a Computer Based Testing (CBT) center or any JAMB Office Nationwide.

NOTE: This process CANNOT be done at a cyber cafe.

Step 2 – Upload of O’Level Result

Currently, admissions are only issued to candidates whose O’Level results are available to JAMB. To ensure you don’t miss the opportunity of gaining admission into Coal City University, make sure you upload your result at JAMB Portal using the services of a CBT Center or any JAMB Office. For the avoidance of doubt, kindly download JAMB CAPS MOBILE from your play store and register to also monitor your admission process.

Step 3 – Print out your Original JAMB Result

Step 4 – Apply to CCU

Click on Apply Now https://portal.ccu.edu.ng/Modules/Application/Degree_Application/Landing.aspx?AspxAutoDetectCookieSupport=1 from any part of the site to go to the Portal.

While on the Portal, click on the “Apply for a Degree Programme”; link to generate an invoice for the payment of the application fee of NGN2,000. Select your application type, enter your JAMB Registration Number and click on submit.

Clifford University (CLU) post UTME screening exercise application form for the 2021/2022 academic session is now on sale. Application is hereby invited into various degree programmes of Clifford University Owerrinta, Abia State for 2021/2022 Academic Session.

Eligibility

Candidates who scored 130 and above in 2021 UTME but did not choose Clifford university as their first choice of institution are also eligible to apply.

CHRISTIAN RELIGIOUS STUDIES Two ‘A’ level passes in Christian Religious Studies/Religious Studies and any other Arts subject. Five credit passes in English Language, CRK and three other relevant subjects at not more than two sittings in GCE, SSCE or equivalent examinations. English Language, Christian Religious Knowledge and any other two related Arts subjects Candidates require at least a Credit in Mathematics

i) Two ‘A’ level passes in Literature in English and one other Arts subject. Five credit passes in Literature in English and English Language, one other Arts subject and any other two or three subjects from Arts, Social Sciences or Sciences at not more than two sittings in GCE, SSCE or equivalent examinations. Candidates require at least a Credit in Mathematics

ENGLISH LITERATURE i) Two ‘A’ level passes in Literature in English and one other Arts subject. Five credit passes in Literature in English, English Language and other three subjects, two of which must be Arts subjects at not more than two sittings in GCE, SSCE or equivalent examinations. English Language, Literature in English, one other Arts subject and another Arts or Social Science subject. Candidates require at least a Credit in Mathematics

HISTORY AND DIPLOMATIC STUDIES Five credit passes in English Language, Geography, Government/History and any two Arts or Social Science subjects at not more than two sittings in GCE, SSCE or equivalent examinations English Language, History or Government and any other two subjects from Arts & Social Science. Candidates require at least a Credit in Mathematics

FACULTY OF SOCIAL AND MANAGEMENT SCIENCES [B.Sc. (Hons.)]

ACCOUNTING Five credit passes in English Language, Mathematics, Economics and any other two relevant subjects at not more than two sittings in GCE, SSCE or equivalent examinations. English language, Mathematics, Economics plus any related Arts or Social Science subject.

BUSINESS ADMINISTRATION iii) HND with at least Lower Credit in Business Administration or relevant disciplines in addition to the UTME Requirement Five credit passes in English Language, Mathematics, Economics and any other two relevant subjects at not more than two sittings in GCE, SSCE or equivalent examinations.

PUBLIC ADMINISTRATION Two ‘A’ level passes in Economics, Accounting, Business Management, Government, Geography and Statistics. Five credit passes in English Language, Economics, Government, and a trade subject at not more than two sittings in GCE, SSCE or equivalent examinations. Government, Economics and any other subject Direct entry candidates must in addition meet the UTME ‘O’ Level requirements

ECONOMICS iii) HND with at least Lower Credit in Economics or relevant disciplines in addition to the UTME Requirement. Five credit passes in English Language, Mathematics, Economics and any other two relevant subjects at not more than two sittings in GCE, SSCE or equivalent examinations

BANKING AND FINANCE Two ‘A’ level passes in Economics, Accounts, Business Management, Government, Geography or Statistics Five credit passes in English, Mathematics, Economics, one Science Subject plus any one from Accounting, Business Methods, Commerce, Government, Geography and Statistics at not more than two sittings in GCE, SSCE or equivalent examinations. MARKETING Two ‘A’ level passes in Economics, Accounts, Business Management, Government, Geography or Statistics Five credit passes in English, Mathematics, Economics, one Science Subject plus any one from Accounting, Business Methods, Commerce, Government, Geography and Statistics at not more than two sittings in GCE, SSCE or equivalent examinations. POLITICAL SCIENCE Two ‘A’ level passes including Government or History. CHEMISTRY Five credit passes in English Language, Mathematics, Physics, Chemistry and Biology at not more than two sittings in GCE, SSCE or equivalent examinations. INDUSTRIAL CHEMISTRY Five credit passes in English Language, Mathematics, Physics, Chemistry and Biology at not more than two sittings in GCE, SSCE or equivalent examinations. Chemistry and two of Physics, Biology and Mathematics Direct entry candidates must in addition meet the UTME ‘O’ Level requirements

CYBER SECURITY Two ‘A’ level passes in Chemistry, Mathematics, or Physics. Five credit passes in English Language, Mathematics and Physics and any other two relevant Science subjects at not more than two sittings in GCE, SSCE or equivalent examinations. English Language, Chemistry, Mathematics, and Physics Direct entry candidates must in addition meet the UTME ‘O’ Level requirements

INFORMATION SYSTEM Two ‘A’ level passes in Chemistry, Mathematics, or Physics Five credit passes in English Language, Mathematics and Physics and any other two relevant science subjects at not more than two sittings in GCE, SSCE or equivalent examinations. English Language, Chemistry, Mathematics, and Physics Direct entry candidates must in addition meet the UTME ‘O’ Level requirements

INFORMATION TECHNOLOGY Two ‘A’ level passes in Chemistry, Mathematics, or Physics Five credit passes in English Language, Mathematics and Physics and any other two relevant science subjects at not more than two sittings in GCE, SSCE or equivalent examinations. English Language, Chemistry, Mathematics, and Physics Direct entry candidates must in addition meet the UTME ‘O’ Level requirements

PHYSICS Five credit passes in English Language, Physics, Chemistry, Mathematics and any other Science subject (Further mathematics and Biology or Agricultural Science) at not more than two sittings in GCE, SSCE or equivalent examinations. Direct Entry candidates must in addition meet the UTME ‘O’ Level requirements

NURSING SCIENCE (B.NSc.) Two ‘A’ level passes in Physics, Chemistry or Biology Five credit passes in English, Mathematics, Physics, Biology and Chemistry at not more than two sittings in GCE, SSCE or equivalent examinations. Physic, Chemistry and Biology Direct entry candidates must in addition meet the UTME ‘O’ Level requirements

METHOD OF APPLICATION

  • Visit the University admission portal: www.clifforduni.edu.ng
  • Click on https://clifforduni.edu.ng/oas
  • Click on “Create New Account”
  • Enter your JAMB Registration Number and other details
  • Choose your Username and Password
  • Proceed with the completion of the form
  • Correctly enter your JAMB Score, Personal details and O’Level results
  • Select your first and second choice of course within the institution
  • Select the declaration box appropriately
  • Submit your application
  • Print out your acknowledgement slip
  • Await further communication from the University

FOR DIRECT ENTRY CANDIDATES

  • Kindly ensure that your academic transcript reaches the Registrar, Clifford University, Owerrinta on time.
  • Any candidate who fails to submit his/her academic transcript would not be considered for admission.

DURATION OF THE APTITUDE TEST

  • The specific time and date for the individual candidate would be communicated in due course

UNILAG RANKS 501–600 GLOBALLY IN THE 2022 TIMES HIGHER EDUCATION WORLD UNIVERSITY RANKINGS


The University of Lagos (UNILAG) is ranked 2nd in Nigeria and 501–600, out of over 1,600 institutions across the world. This is according to the 2022 Times Higher Education World University Rankings released on Thursday, September 2, 2021.

The rankings was meticulously conducted based on 13 carefully calibrated performance indicators that measure an institution’s performance across four areas: teaching, research, knowledge transfer and international outlook.

By this ranking, UNILAG took a leap from the range of 601–800 in 2021 to a higher range of 501–600. The University is however not relenting in hard work and dedication as the aim is to be ranked among the top 10 universities across the globe.

The Vice-Chancellor, Professor Oluwatoyin T. Ogundipe, FAS, appreciates staff, students, alumni and friends of the University for their various contributions to the achievement of this feat.

UNIVERSITY OF PORT-HARCOURT {UNIPORT} RELEASES DIRECT ENTRY (DE) 2021 ADMISSION FORM


Candidates who chose the University of Port Harcourt for Direct Entry Admission are hereby requested to apply for screening by logging in to the University website www.uniport.edu.ng and complete a Form online, to provide information on;

Course

Qualifying Examination(s) for Direct Entry Admission

  • Results obtained from Qualifying Examinations (O’level, and A’Level/Diploma/NCE/JUPEB/IJMB and Degree), showing the pass level and points.Candidate’s JAMB Registration Number.

REGISTRATION PROCEDURE

  1. Candidates should visit the University website www.uniport.edu.ng and adhere strictly to the Registration Procedure.
  2. Candidates are to input their JAMB Registration Numbers and confirm pre-loaded JAMB details.
  3. Generate Remita Code for payment with your Master, Visa or Verve Card, etc. OR Print out Payment Slip and Proceed to any of the following Banks with Remita Platform (ACCESS BANK PLC, ECOBANK PLC, FIDELITY BANK PLC, FIRST BANK PLC, FCMB, UBA PLC, AND UNIPORT-CHOBA MICROFINANCE BANK) and make a payment of N2,000.00 only.
  4. Obtain a Remita Receipt showing an Access Code from the Bank Teller confirming the payment. Proceed online again and loginwith your JAMB Registration Numbers and the Access Code on the Payment Slip.
  5. Complete the Form online as requested.
  6. Proceed to the Admissions Office to submit the documents – photocopy of JAMB Slip, Birth Certificate/Age Declaration, O’Level Examination Results (WASSCE, GCE, NECO, NABTEB), A’Level/Diploma/NCE/JUPEB/ IJMB and Degree Results, showing CGPA as applicable.
  7. Alternatively, the requested documents can be mailed by courier to: The Admissions Officer, University of Port Harcourt, Choba, P.M.B. 5323, Port Harcourt, Rivers State.
  8. Inconsistency in name is not acceptable to the University and may lead to disqualification of affected candidates. Candidates’ names on their O’Level and A’Level Results, JAMB Result Slips and other registration documents must be the same.Candidates must be sixteen (16) yearsof age or above by October 2021, to be eligible for the Admission.

Candidates must apply within the Registration period as the online link for the Application Form will be disabled at MID-NIGHT ON SUNDAY, 19TH SEPTEMBER, 2021.Candidates must ensure that they register with their own valid personal telephone (GSM) numbers and email addresses.

  • Registration is online, therefore candidates are not expected to be present physically on the University Campus but advised to register from any location.Candidates must ensure their O’Level results are uploaded to JAMB website as soon possible as those who do not, will not be considered for admission.
